HIVE ALIVE Bee Food Fondant, Winter, Spring & Fall Feed, 2.2lbs x 15-Pack

HIVE ALIVE Bee Food Fondant, Winter, Spring & Fall Feed, 2.2lbs x 15-Pack

• Always Direct Access to Nutrition: Bees never have to leave the cluster. Hive Alive Fondant provides readily available nutrition when stores are too far from the bee cluster or it’s too cold to leave the cluster...when bees are building up in early spring but nectar flow is low...or when a cold snap in spring diminishes reserves. Beekeepers can successfully maintain a thriving colony in conditions both expected and unexpected
• A Concentrated Dose of Hive Alive: To meet customer demand, we’ve added a measured dose of Hive Alive to every fondant package. The scientifically proven supplement was shown in trials to increase bee gut health, improve honey production, and help colonies stay strong for overwintering. In addition to essential carbohydrates, Hive Alive Fondant contains vitamins and amino acids critical to colony survival – and bees love it!
• Convenient for Bees and Beekeepers Alike: Instead of sugar syrup that can’t be used during winter, Hive Alive Fondant provides a fresh, and direct food source. Compared to sugar syrup, the semi solid, sugar based food contains less moisture, eliminating the risk of drying out and preventing excess moisture in the hive. Perfect for emergency feeding, it’s quicker than sugar syrup
• Easy to Use: Just cut a small square, tuck back flap, and place under cover board for direct access. The fine particle size sugar is easy for bees to digest, and you can quickly check fondant status without disturbing the colony. Can also be used in queen cages, Apideas, and nucs
• Clean and Efficient – No Waste: Big blocks and large pails are labor intensive, messy, and can dry out to remain untouched by bees. Unlike ordinary fondant, there is no heating process to produce unwanted byproducts that can harm bees. Any unused fondant can be wrapped in plastic and stored for later use or you can add water and melt it down for 1:1 syrup feed
