Global Crafts Votive Candles Set of 3 - Hand Painted African, Unscented

• SHAHIDA MARKET SPIRIT: In Swahili, Shahida evokes the crowded energy of an African market full of fabric, masks, music and dance, and the deep purple votives translate that into color. Every candle is painted one at a time, so the pattern varies and no two in the set are quite alike. Deep purple is unusual in a votive and it gives the trio real presence on a table.
• CLEAN UNSCENTED BURN: Each votive is poured from fully refined paraffin wax with non toxic color pigments and a natural wick, and carries no fragrance at all. That makes the trio easy to use at a dining table, in a quiet office, or alongside faith traditions where a plain, steady flame is wanted. Fragrance free also means the candles work in an office or any shared workspace.
• SET OF THREE VOTIVES: Three candles come packed in a recycled gift box, each measuring 2.5 in tall by 1.75 in in diameter with an average burn time of two hours. The compact round shape drops into most standard votive cups and holders. Always burn them in a holder and snuff the flame when finished. The recycled gift box means the trio is ready to hand over exactly as it arrives.
• SEASONAL AND YEAR ROUND: The rich purple reads as festive in December and as simply pretty in July, so the trio moves easily from a holiday centerpiece to an everyday shelf display. Group them with other candles for layered light, or use them singly on a tray beside a bowl or a small plant. They sit comfortably beside Christmas, Hanukkah, Shabbat or Kwanzaa candle displays.
• ARTISTS IN SOUTH AFRICA: These votives come from South African workshops where pouring, base painting and detail painting are separate skills passed between hands. As a Fair Trade Federation member, Global Crafts buys that work on terms the makers agreed to, keeping the craft viable at home. The purple you see was mixed and brushed on by one of those painters, not printed.
