Global Crafts Shabbat Candles Set of 4 - Hand Painted Short Tapers, Feruzi

Global Crafts Shabbat Candles Set of 4 - Hand Painted Short Tapers, Feruzi

• FERUZI GEOMETRIC MOTIF: Feruzi is named for the meeting of two oceans at Cape Agulhas, and the short tapers carry that idea in geometric bands, wild wave color and a scatter of glitter embellishment. Each candle is painted individually, so the pattern shifts from one to the next across the set. Wild waves and a fresh sea breeze are the reference points for the color work.
• HAND POURED WAX BODY: The candles are poured from high quality, fully refined paraffin wax with a high melting point, colored with non toxic pigments and fitted with a single natural wick. They are entirely unscented, which keeps them suitable for a Shabbat table or any meal where fragrance would intrude. A high melting point helps the wax hold its shape through a full evening.
• FOUR SHORT TAPERS: The set includes four individually wrapped tapers, each 4 in long and 0.75 in wide, with a maximum burn time of 4 hours, and weighs about 0.50 lb in total. Always seat them in a candle holder, never move a lit candle, and snuff the flame out when you are finished. Individual wrapping also makes it simple to give the set or store what is left.
• FRIDAY NIGHT AND BEYOND: The short 4 in length is sized for Friday night Shabbat dinners, and the same candles look at home at a wedding, an anniversary meal or any evening that deserves a little ceremony. The wrapped set makes a considered gift for a Jewish household or anyone who collects handmade things. Art lovers, and anyone furnishing a first home, tend to appreciate a set like this.
• CARVED OUT OF SOUTH AFRICA: Skilled artisans in South Africa hand pour and hand paint every candle in this set, working patterns drawn from the region's culture and coastline. Global Crafts is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, which shapes how these candles are bought and how the painters are paid. Each candle is one of a kind because a person, not a machine, placed the pattern.
