Global Crafts Felt Trivet Large - Wool Casserole Trivet, Heather Grey

Global Crafts Felt Trivet Large - Wool Casserole Trivet, Heather Grey

• BUILT FOR THE CASSEROLE DISH: A large felt ball trivet in heather gray, scaled for the dish you carry to the table with both hands and an oven mitt. The joined wool balls create a soft, woven-looking surface with real depth of texture, so it doubles as a decorative table mat when nothing is resting on it. Handmade in Nepal, each one comes out a little different from the last.
• FINE NEW ZEALAND WOOL: Made from fine New Zealand wool dyed with azo-free pigments, the felt ball construction offers excellent heat resistance while keeping a soft hand and a bit of give. It is a material that takes daily kitchen use in its stride rather than flattening out or fraying after a few months. Azo-free pigments give the heather gray its even, muted tone.
• FOURTEEN BY TEN INCHES: The trivet measures 14 in long, 10 in wide and 1 in high, which is footprint enough for a casserole, a large pot or a sheet pan straight from the oven. At 0.62 lb it is easy to handle and slides flat into a drawer. Spot clean gently, and keep it out of the washing machine and dryer. Kept out of the machine, the felt holds its shape for years to come.
• HOLIDAY TABLE AND EVERY DAY: The texture and heather gray tone add warmth to a kitchen counter or a fully set table, working as a Christmas trivet for a holiday spread and as a centerpiece accent the rest of the year, protecting tabletops from heat and scratches while still looking deliberate rather than purely practical. The felt ball construction is what does the heat resistance underneath.
• CRAFTED BY WOMEN IN NEPAL: Each trivet is made by skilled women artisans in Nepal through Fair Trade partnerships built on fair wages and sustainable practices. Global Crafts is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, so a practical kitchen piece carries real, repeatable income back to the women who felted it. Skilled hands, fair wages, and a piece you will genuinely use daily.
