Global Crafts Felt Bird Ornament - Cedar Waxwing, Wool, Christmas Tree

Global Crafts Felt Bird Ornament - Cedar Waxwing, Wool, Christmas Tree

• CEDAR WAXWING IN FELT: A backyard favorite rendered in soft wool felt, this cedar waxwing joins the Global Crafts bird range with its neat, crested silhouette. Every bird is worked by hand, so expect slight differences in shape and stance from one to the next, which is what gives each piece its own particular character. The felt surface stays soft to the touch and quiet beside glass decorations.
• WEATHERPROOF WOOL CONSTRUCTION: Made with 100 percent natural wool and azo-free dyes, this ornament is weatherproof enough to live outside as easily as it does indoors. The wool body is light and holds its form well, and the natural fiber takes color deeply so the waxwing keeps its markings on show. Natural wool and gentle dyes are the whole recipe, with nothing else added.
• FIVE INCH SIZE WITH LOOP: The bird measures 5 in in length, a scale that reads clearly on a tree branch without crowding its neighbors. A string loop is attached for hanging, and an attractive info card is included, so it can be handed straight to someone else exactly as it arrives. Nothing needs assembling, and no batteries or extra hooks are required.
• INSIDE OR OUT, ALL YEAR: Since it can live outside or inside, the waxwing moves easily from a Christmas tree to a shaded porch, a garden shrub, a kitchen window or a spring wreath. It makes a welcome present for bird watchers, cabin owners and anyone who likes seasonal decorations that do not pack away in January. A few of them along a garland read as a small flock rather than single birds.
• MADE BY GLOBAL SOUTH ARTISANS: This is a fair trade product distributed by a member of the Fair Trade Federation, made by artisans in the global south whose felting work it supports directly. Buying the waxwing puts earnings in the hands of the makers rather than a factory line, which is the point of the whole collection. Handmade work brings slight variations, so allow for them as part of the piece.
