GREEN VENT - Modern AC Vent Cover 12x4, Premium Linear Slot Diffuser

GREEN VENT - Modern AC Vent Cover 12x4, Premium Linear Slot Diffuser

• MEASURE THE HOLE, NOT YOUR OLD COVER: Fits a 12" x 4" duct opening (the open hole in your wall, ceiling or floor). The visible face is 13-3/4" x 5-3/4" and the neck is 11-3/4" x 3-3/4", so it slides in easily. This slim modern face is narrower than an old louvered steel grille and may not hide the old paint line - a light touch-up gives a clean finish. See the sizing photo, or ask GREEN VENT support before you order.
• MODERN, FLUSH LOOK WITH HIDDEN SCREWS: A clean, flat linear-slot face with no visible screws - the built-in look of a designer space, made to replace the louvered steel grilles of older homes. Screws go into the side walls inside the vent, so fitting takes a little more care than a face-screw grille; the reward is a smooth, uncluttered wall or ceiling. Suits contemporary, minimalist and Scandinavian interiors, renovation or new construction.
• ADJUSTABLE AIRFLOW, QUIETER FLOW: Fully open, the slots spread air in a wide, even pattern across the room. Use the included adjustment tool to angle the vanes left or right - away from a bed or desk - or close them to shut off an unused room. Slot openings are wider than typical slot vents, letting more air through at a lower speed - smoother, quieter airflow with less whistling, ideal for bedrooms, nurseries and home offices. For return air, open the vanes fully.
• 100% ALUMINUM - NO RUST, NO YELLOWING: Alloy aluminum with a powder-coated finish and no plastic parts. Unlike steel it will not rust, and unlike plastic it will not yellow, warp or crack. Wipes clean with a damp cloth and takes standard spray paint. Coating tested by TÜV Rheinland: lead-free and phthalate-free (Prop 65), PBT-free (EPA TSCA 6h), no deterioration after ASTM B117 salt spray. Made in Vietnam.
• WALL, CEILING OR FLOOR - INSTALL YOUR WAY: For wall or ceiling, drill and screw through the hidden holes on the two side walls inside the vent - no screws show on the face. For floor, simply set it into the opening; add screws the same way if you want it fixed firmly with no rattle. Choose low-traffic floor spots such as along walls or under windows - it is not rated for heavy foot traffic. Fully removable, no duct modification needed.
• QUICK ANSWERS: Supply or return? Both - for return, open the vanes fully; there is no tray or slot for an air filter, so keep your filter at the air handler or furnace. Paintable? Yes - sand, prime, spray. Metal or plastic? 100% aluminum, no plastic parts. Floor? Yes, low-traffic areas only. Outdoors? Sheltered spots like covered patios or garages, not direct rain. Other sizes? Choose your exact duct opening above.
