G.I. JOE: Star Brigade II: Failure Is Not an Option (Kindle Worlds Short Story)

While the Defiant crew continues first contact dealings with the Haken Confederacy - all the while being detained in the process - the Haken suffer a major terror attack by an old antagonist that kills thousands, including hundreds of children. With the timing of this attack coinciding with the Joes’ unusual arrival into the Haken system, the Haken suspect earth of being a terror ally of the attackers. The Joes are then brutally interrogated to prove alleged terror ties to the old Haken enemy and recent terror attacker – the Yukonai Empire. Now Duke must do whatever he has to in order to save his crew from a Haken firing squad along with trying to salvage America’s initial relations with the Haken before it’s too late. America, and indeed earth, are about to truly enter the chaotic interstellar arena for the first time – and under fire, no less. Nothing new for GI JOE.
