Freedom Flood Vents are Made in the USA, FEMA Compliant and ICC-ES Certified (ESR-4332) for 250 sq. ft. of flood protection per vent. These engineered flood vents meet the ASTM D2565-99 and ASTM D6110-18 Standards for impact and weathering. They are rigorously tested to ensure the plastic can withstand extreme temperatures and resist damage from impact.
Our foundation flood vent is surface mounted over the foundation opening and is usable in crawl spaces, garages, & full height enclosures. They are easily installed for new construction or can be retrofitted with HurriBond adhesive or an equivalent fastener.
Bi-directional flood vent feature allows for the free entry and exit of flood water, relieving hydrostatic pressure to help prevent foundation damage and lower your flood risk. The lower flood risk associated with the proper installation of Freedom Flood Vents can lead to a much lower insurance premium for you home, too
Freedom Flood Vents contain a permanently attached door that simply needs to be reset after a flood event, rather than a breakaway door that needs to be replaced. The permanent door feature also provides added security from unwanted critters entering your home.
Included winter shield does not affect the function of the flood vent when on. When the winter shield is removed, Freedom Flood Vents also provide natural air ventilation.

The Freedom Flood Vent is a Fema-compliant engineered flood vent that is certified to cover 250 sq. ft. It is usable in crawl spaces, garages, & full height enclosures. It allows for bi-directional flow of flood waters to relieve hydrostatic pressure from foundation walls in the event of a flood. Our vents are all ICC-ES certified, FEMA, NFIP & building code compliant, and made in the United States. Freedom Flood Vents may help lower your flood insurance premiums! Flood Vents protect houses and buildings during floods by preventing hydrostatic pressure buildup that can destroy walls and foundations. This mitigation technique, referred to as Wet Floodproofing, allows floodwater to freely flow through an enclosure such as a crawlspace or garage. The NFIP Regulations and Building Codes require that any residential building constructed in Flood Zone Type A have the lowest floor, including basements, elevated to or above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE). Enclosed areas are permitted under elevated buildings provided that they meet certain use restrictions and construction requirements such as the installation of flood vents to allow for the automatic entry and exit of flood waters. This wet floodproofing technique is required for residential buildings. With commercial buildings, elevation and the use of wet floodproofing techniques is the suggested form of mitigation. This technique can be a more cost-effective solution and reduces the impacts the building has on surrounding floodplain in comparison to dry floodproofing techniques.
