Twenty five years ago a virutally uknown band caused more controversy and discord with their debut single than any other infamous band before them. When Radio 1 DJ Mike Read banned Relax , no one could have possibly imagined the notoriety and fame that Frankie Goes To Hollywood would create. Or that the Mike Read episode was just the beginning. FGTH burst onto the music scene and became a pheonomena that no one has since matched.

The follow-up Two Tribes pushed the boundaries even further, now adding a political angle to their manifest and a video that made it onto the TV listings pages. The Power of Love and Welcome To The Pleasuredome enforced upon their peers that they had the songwriting and instrumental skills that had so far been eclipsed by their attitude and non conformist performances.
