Florence Foster Jenkins

Three-time Academy Award Winner Meryl Streep stars in the touching true story of Florence Foster Jenkins.

The Stephen Frears (Philomena; The Queen; High Fidelity) directed film also stars Hugh Grant as Florences husband and Simon Helberg (Big Bang Theory) as her long-suffering accompanist Cosme McMoon.

Meryl Streep recreates the extraordinary and hilarious singing of Florence Foster Jenkins (1868-1944), the wealthy American heiress whose excruciating sense of pitch and rhythm were immortalized on a set of treasured 78 rpm discs.

Streep and Helberg have meticulously studied these original recordings to bring them vividly back to life.

Be prepared to laugh and cry!
