• The Faithfull Piercing Saw, often called a jeweller’s saw, It is precision made for a specific use. and not for general use
• It is fitted with an extremely fine blade and is specifically designed for cutting thin sheet metal up to 1mm thick such as aluminium, copper, brass, gold and silver
• The top screw is for getting the length of the frame right to suit the blade. It is not for tensioning the blade
• You can tension the blade by fixing the handle end first then as you would use a junior hacksaw put the other end against a bench and close the gap up between the two clamps by 1-2mm then tighten the blade to the other clamp so that when you let go the frame will tension the blade
• Depth of Bow: 70mm Blade Length: 130mm.The steel frame is adjustable to accommodate different blade lengths allowing broken blades to be re-used. A lubricant such as beeswax can be used for smooth cutting performance
