Product Description
Eisco Spectrum Tube, Nitrogen, Larger Viewing Area, 100 mm Capillary, 26 cm | Clear Spectral Lines, For Student Spectrometers, Diffraction Grating, Side-Electrode Body, Power Supply
- Enhanced Spectral Viewing: The Eisco Spectrum Tube, filled with nitrogen, features a larger viewing area, allowing clearer and easier observation of the spectral lines. Perfect for educational science kits and lab tube setups, it enriches classroom experiences
- Research-Grade Clarity: With research-grade gases, the nitrogen spectrum tube provides bright-line spectral observations with exceptional clarity. Ideal for use in a student-grade spectrometer, it supports precise educational demonstrations
- Student-Friendly Design: Specifically designed for spectrometers with a 200 line/mm diffraction grating, this tube seamlessly integrates into student optical experiments. It supports STEM education by offering a practical nitrogen source for lab work
- Focused Discharge Path: A 100mm fine capillary at the center of the tube forms a narrow discharge path, enhancing spectral line visibility. This feature makes it a valuable component for teaching spectroscopy with spectrum analyzer setups
- Straight Form Efficiency: The straight form and side electrodes simplify integration into lab setups, facilitating efficient use in demonstrations. Designed for educational science kits, it aligns with professional expectations for lab tube usage
EISCO spectrum tube is used for demonstrating spectral lines of pure substances, and contains nitrogen (N) gas under pressure to produce light for spectral analysis. The tube has a 10.0cm capillary in the center for observing light wavelengths, and is straight form with side electrodes for conductivity. The tube measures 26.0cm (H), and is made of glass for transparency and resistance to heat. (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point.) Glass is an inert brittle solid, heat-resistant, and typically transparent. It is relatively easily cut and shaped. The tube requires a spectrum tube power supply for operation (sold separately), and should be operated at 30-second on/off intervals for longer product life and safer use. The tube is suitable for high school or college students, or ages 13 to 21.
Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.
EISCO Scientific manufactures and supplies lab equipment for education and industry. The company, founded in 1968 and headquartered in Rochester, NY, meets International Organization of Standardization (ISO) standard 9001: 2000.
