EcoFoil Double Bubble Reflective Insulation (Foil both sides) is constructed with a double layer of polyethylene bubbles bonded between 2 layers of 99.9% pure aluminum radiant barrier. All radiant barriers need at least a small amount of air space on both sides for the foil to reflect properly. Our foil bubble insulation can be applied in tight spaces like basement walls or between floor joists and serve both as an insulator AND a radiant barrier, because the double bubble layer provides maximum R-value, as well as that air space which the foil needs to properly reflect radiant heat. EcoFoil reflective insulation is specially designed for use in residential, commercial and HVAC applications to reduce radiant heat gain or loss, and eliminate condensation. This style works especially well in metal and post frame buildings, but can be used in a variety of applications because it is lightweight, easy to handle, yet provides superior protection.
