Downton Abbey - A Celebration: The Official Companion to All Six Seasons (The World of Downton Abbey)

"Downton Abbey set a new standard, and it's probable that in 20 or 50 years critics will look back and say that this was period drama at its very best, often imitated but never bettered." ―The Daily Mail

Since the moment we first entered Downton Abbey, we have been swept away by Julian Fellowes’s evocative world of romance, intrigue, drama and tradition. Now, as the full-length feature film Downton Abbey gets ready to premiere in movie theaters around the world, let Jessica Fellowes take you on a trip back through all six seasons of this remarkable show and relive the iconic moments of the wonderfully aristocratic Crawley family and their servants as they navigate the emerging modern age in a house and estate lodged affectionately in our memory for all time.

Travelling from Great Hall to servants’ hall, bedroom to boot room, we get a look back at Matthew and Isobel Crawley arriving for the first time, the death of Kemal Pamuk, Edith’s affair with Michael Gregson, the upstairs/downstairs romance of Branson and Lady Sybil, the constant quips of the Dowager Countess, Thomas and O’Brien’s scheming, Daisy's touching marriage to the dying William, Anna and Bates’s troubles with the law, a grand Christmas at the Abbey, Matthew's proposal to Mary, Carson’s marriage to Mrs Hughes and many, many more.

Alongside this look back are in-depth interviews with the cast, who have worked on the show for six years as well as a complete episode guide for the six seasons. Packed full of stunning location shots and stills from all six seasons of the show including exclusive behind-the-scenes photography, this celebratory book is the ultimate gift for Downton Abbey fans the world over and a perfect look back as they look forward to Downton Abbey, the film.
