Design Toscano Robert The Robot Die-Cast Iron Mechanical Coin Bank

Science fiction was gaining popularity in the 1950's and our replica Robert the Robot die-cast iron mechanical coin bank was created as part of that growing trend. Prized by collectors, our Robert the Robot mechanical bank needs "scrap" metal to help repair his leg. To feed him coins and help the cause, place a coin on Robert's hand and depress the lever on his back, as Robert's eyes roll up, his mouth opens and he swallows it down! Metal turn stopper at the bottom allows for coin retrieval. Our finely-detailed Design Toscano replica mechanical coin bank is cast in foundry iron from an original then authentically hand-painted and distressed to replicate a true antique. Makes a clever desktop gift, a fun collectible, or an educational tool to teach children the importance of saving. 4½"Wx5½"Dx7"H. 5 lbs.
