Product Description
Damned Damned Damned[LP]
- The Damned blazed a trail when they became the very first British punk band to release a single, "New Rose," on October 22, 1976, which was swiftly followed by the release of the very first British punk album, their classic debut long-player Damned Damned Damned, originally released by Stiff Records on February 18, 1977
Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition. Damned Damned Damned is the debut studio album by The Damned, the first UK punk band to release a single ('New Rose', included here, in October 1976). The album was released on February 18, 1977 by the ground-breaking and irreverent Stiff label. Produced by Nick Lowe, Damned Damned Damned is also the first full length album released by a UK punk group. Pretty much a stone classic and a much lauded punk masterpiece, this is a record driven by power chords, speed and a trashy attitude which belies the quality of the songs, which are uniformly excellent.
