Product Description

Compression Socks, Extra Firm Support - Knee High Gradient Compression, Unisex, mmHg Rating Tested and Quality Assured. Designed to Help Return Blood Back to Your Heart and Promote Your Leg Health

30-40 mmHg compression socks, also known as Class II compression, are used to treat a variety of moderate to severe medical conditions. This compression level should only be worn when prescribed by your doctor or healthcare provider. Ask your doctor if this level is right for you.

Doctors recommend 30-40 mmHg compression stockings for chronic venous insufficiency. This takes place when valves in the veins become damaged, which can lead to blood pooling in the legs. Pooled blood can cause swelling, aching, pain and even skin damage or ulcers. 30-40 mmHg compression socks are designed to increase circulation and provide relief from painful symptoms. These socks can help maintain blood circulation and promote your leg health.

The amount of compression is expressed as mmHg (millimeters of mercury). The higher the mmHg number, the stronger the compression. Many 'compression' socks just provide elastic and a tight feeling instead of correct gradient compression, or they have tight elastics straps in them which leave deep welts when worn. Even worse is that they may hinder the blood circulation of legs and cause blood pooling in the lower leg. Gradient Compression is Very Important, the ankles should have the most compression and gradually become less towards the heart. By compressing the surface veins, arteries and muscles, the circulating blood is forded through narrower circulatory channels. As a result, the arterial pressure is increased, which helps the blood fight gravity and return to the heart.

Proper fit is about your calf and ankle size, not just shoe size. Measure around the smallest part of the ankle just above the ankle bone and around the widest part of the calf. (See our photo size chart on the top left) Our socks are extensively tested on sophisticated machines to ensure they meet our exacting standards. Providing the best quality and correct graduated compression socks to our clients is very important to us at Boston Enterprises.
