Climbing in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo

We are blessed with a Mediterranean climate which provides an average annual temperature of 72 degrees with only moderate amounts of rainfall. There are dozen of routes within each county. Good routes, bad routes, easy routes, and rad routes. Over 400 routes. If you are a local, we hope this guide will lead you to knew if explorations and provide you with a much needed reference to our crags. If you are visiting, passing through,or simply thinking about traveling here someday, we hope that this guide can get you around as well as impart a flavor of what climbing of the south coast is all about.
