This full colour supplement in 8.5 x 11 inch format is intended to provide the reader with a visual picture of the incredible natural landscapes and the ports of call on a cruise between Buenos Aires, Argentina and Valparaiso (Santiago), Chile. This book will compliment the book titled Cruising Between Buenos Aires and Valparaiso that has been issued in black and white because of the greater cost that would have been involved with publishing it in full colour given that it has extensive text. If you purchase both, you will find that the colour photographs that make this more of a coffee table book are totally different in content than the ones in the regular edition. The landscapes are among the most magnificent in the world, and they rival those mountain, fjord and glacial landscapes of Alaska and Norway. Then you add the flavor of Spanish cultural heritage and you have a region that is very special. I have cruised these water many times, and I plan to return again because I have found it to be such an emotionally satisfying experience. Then add to this the fact that Buenos Aires and Santiago are two of the most dynamic and progressive cities in South America. Buenos Aires is often called the "Paris of the Americas," while Santiago is known for its indescribable setting, nestled against the high Andes Mountains, which tower over the countryside like a great wall.
