Bones Tones

For his seventh Criss Cross recording, Wycliffe Gordon pairs off with Andre Hayward, his longtime partner in the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra trombone section, for a carefree, straightforward, swinging romp through various nooks and crannies of the jazz and Broadway songbooks, as well as several varieties of the blues. Pianist Mike LeDonne, bassist John Webber, and drum giant Kenny Washington push, prod, and complement the flow throughout.
