Orchestral Works

Sir Andrew Davis is among the most distinguished interpreters of British music today and here, performing with the BBC Philharmonic, he turns to the works of Sir Arnold Bax. Philip Dukes is the soloist in the passionately lyrical Phantasy for Viola and Orchestra which is heard in this recording alongside the Overture, Elegy and Rondo and Four Orchestral Pieces, recorded here in its original arrangement for the first time.
