Baking Steel Original 14x16 | Pre-Seasoned Pizza, Bread & Sourdough Steel

• THE ORIGINAL BAKING STEEL, INVENTED IN 2012: Founder Andris Lagsdin was working at his family's steel manufacturing business when he read Modernist Cuisine and had an idea. He grabbed a piece of steel, took it home, made a pizza, and invented a category. Fourteen years later every steel is still made in his dad's shop in the USA. This is the original.
• PIZZA AND BREAD ON ONE STEEL: Thin, crispy pizza in about 8 minutes at 500F. Then sourdough, boules, baguettes and flatbread on the same surface. The 14x16 holds a 13 inch pizza, or two loaves side by side.
• SHIPS PRE-SEASONED, READY TO COOK: Yours arrives seasoned and ready for its first bake. No washing, oiling and hour-long bake before you can use it. It builds a darker, better patina every time you cook, the same way cast iron does.
• 18X MORE CONDUCTIVE THAN STONE: Steel moves heat into dough far better than ceramic, so the bottom sets and browns evenly at a lower oven temperature. Preheat 60 minutes and it holds that heat through pizza after pizza. It will never crack or shatter the way a stone does.
