Product Description
Astromania Moon Filter for Telescope 1.25 Inch, Moon Skyglow Lunar Filter
- Premium Image Quality: Premium telescope filter for reducing the brightness of the moon and improving contrast and surface detail; reduces glare and improves definition; this can be useful when viewing the sky in areas where there is light pollution
- Excellent Moon Filter: 1.25-inch Moon and Skyglow Filter is a multi-bandpass filter transmitting a high percentage of light in the visual spectrum; the Skyglow Filter absorbs more light at longer wavelengths and therefore increases viewing contrast
- Exquisite Detailed Design: This filter is mounted in a nicely anodized housing and comes with a filter case to better protect the filter; easy to carry around and can be used directly to explore the mysteries of nebulae anytime or anywhere
- Standard 1.25 Inch Filter Thread: The 1.25inch Moon and Skyglow Filter is screwed into the eyepiece thread; the filter will fit all standard sized 1.25inch eyepieces and accessories; it is threaded on both sides for stacking with other filters
- More than Normal Moon Filter: This premium Moon and Skyglow Filter is much higher quality than similar products; this is blocked in the conventional spectral range so that high-contrast observations are possible
The Moon & Skyglow is a multi-bandpass filter transmitting a high percentage of light in the visual spectrum. The filter enhances contrast when observing brighter objects including the moon and planets. It also will suppress sky glow from artificial lighting and background glow reflected when the Moon is up. The filter has a mild effect of darkening the background of the night sky so that the fainter objects are more clearly seen contrasted against the blackness of space. The filter will fit all standard sized 1.25" eyepieces and accessories. It is mounted in a nicely anodized housing and is threaded on both sides for stacking with other filters if necessary.
