An Old Man's Love

AN OLD MAN'S LOVE (1884) by Anthony Trollope is the bittersweet final completed novel by the great master of British Victorian family sagas and sophisticated yarns of love, money, society, and relationships.

A guardian falls in love with his much younger ward and intends to marry her. His plans are undermined by the young girl's love for another, a young man who has gone in search of his fortune and who eventually returns to claim her.
