This book presents interdisciplinary perspectives on the cultural agency across Latin America and its borders. The introduction and its fourteen chapters, divided in three parts, connect cultural agency with educative, artistic and social practice. This publication is the product of a dialogue that began in 2010 in a conference at Grand Valley State University and that was continued by a group of scholars in a series of conferences of the Latin American Studies Association [LASA] that took place in Río de Janeiro, Toronto, Washington and Chicago.
