The ASG Steyr AUG is a Steyr licensed rifle with Tokyo Marui designed system resulting one of the best Airsoft AUG AEG rifle for both Airsoft mil-sim gamers and collectors. This full size AUG rifle inherited the "best for Airsoft" bullpup design where the shooter holds the rifle right in the center for not only a balanced weight, easy mag change, longer inner barrel but also a compact range gun all at the same time for CQB. The bullpup design is not the most popular in the real fire-arm world because the shell would eject, heat up or even explode in the shooter's face; but as an Airsoft, bullpup rifles are PERFECT! The Steyr AUG is the length of a common M4 but equipped with a 509mm inner barrel (accuracy and range of an M16!) Armee-Universal-Gewehr (Universal Army Rifle) or AUG is a futuristic assault rifle developed during the 1960's in Austria to replace the aging 7.62mm FAL automatic rifles in service at the time. Often considered as "the first successful bullpup rifle", the AUG was indeed well ahead of its time as far as concept and design; it was highly advanced when it first went into service in the late 1970's.
