AMACO Cosmos Crystalline Gloss Glaze Pint, 16 oz. (473 mL), CO-06 Supernova
- Iridescent mid-high fire (Cone 5-6) AMACO Cosmos Crystalline "CO" Glazes exhibit unique and captivating visual effects reminiscent of cosmic or otherworldly phenomena; meticulously crafted to capture the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline glazes in every brushstroke, right out of the jar.
- Apply 4 coats to Cone 04 bisque, then fire to Cone 5-6.
- Crystals will develop on both horizontal and vertical clay surfaces; vertical surfaces will encourage running.
- Normal medium-speed firing with no special cooling schedule required; use a controlled cooling scheduled for increased crystal growth.
- Leave inside or back of form unglazed to avoid pinholing; if glazing a piece all the way to the end of the foot, use a drip tray to protect kiln shelves.
- Supernova layers nicely with AMACO Velvet Underglazes.
