• AMACO Cosmos CO-07 Solar Flare Crystalline Gloss Glaze (16 oz.) is a highly fluid light brown glaze with an iridescent crystalline surface that's opaque and glossy with a slight texture on the crystals.
• Apply 4 coats to Cone 04 bisque, then fire to Cone 5-6; performs best at Cone 6 but can be fired to Cone 5.
• Iridescent mid-high fire (Cone 5-6) AMACO Cosmos Crystalline "CO" Glazes exhibit unique and captivating visual effects reminiscent of cosmic or otherworldly phenomena; meticulously crafted to capture the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline glazes in every brushstroke, right out of the jar.
• Crystals will develop on both horizontal and vertical clay surfaces; vertical surfaces will encourage running.
• Normal medium-speed firing with no special cooling schedule required; use a controlled cooling scheduled for increased crystal growth.
• Leave inside or back of form unglazed to avoid pinholing; if glazing a piece all the way to the end of the foot, use a drip tray to protect kiln shelves.
