• What if it feels loose inside the fitting? Here is a quick and permanent 3-step fix: 1.Wrap tape to thicken it: Wrap 3 to 4 layers of standard electrical tape around the lower outer edge of the cap. 2.Push it in: Insert the cap firmly into your 2" PVC fitting. 3.Seal it (Crucial): Apply a continuous ring of outdoor silicone sealant (caulk) around the seam where the cap meets the fitting. Let it dry for 24 hours
