• Replaces Yamaha 214-11198-01, written in full on parts diagrams as 214-11198-01-00. It supersedes 214-11198-00 and interchanges with 34115-35300, so an older manual or a dealer screen may show either number for the same washer. Fifteen rings to a pack, each 14 mm inner by 19 mm outer by 2.2 mm thick, 0.55 in by 0.75 in, in stainless steel with a folded profile rather than flat aluminum.
• Foldover construction is the difference here. A strip of stainless is rolled into a hollow rounded ring, so it flattens progressively as the bolt comes down to torque instead of crushing solid in a single step the way a flat aluminum washer does. On a cast sump face that has seen a decade of service and is no longer dead flat, that progressive squeeze is what lets the ring find the surface and stay put.
• Treat every ring as single use. Once flattened it sits lower the second time and no longer fills the same fine machining marks, which is why a seep that reappears a week after an oil change is usually a reused washer rather than a bolt that wants more torque. Adding torque to a tired ring is how sump threads get stretched, and on an aluminum case that turns a ten minute job into a repair.
• Fits Yamaha models running the 14 mm sump bolt, among them YZF-R1 and YZF-R6, MT-07 and MT-09, the FZ and FJ series, FJR1300, XJR1300, FZR1000, XT500 and Bolt, the Raptor 660 and 700 quads, and Yamaha snowmobile and outboard engines of the same thread size. Yamaha uses more than one washer size across its range, so measure the ring you take off before ordering rather than going by the model name alone.
• Warm the engine and shut it off, drain into a catch pan, then wipe the sealing face on the case before the new ring goes near it. Seat one washer flat under the bolt head with no tilt, start the bolt by hand for two or three turns to confirm the threads pick up cleanly, and bring it down to the figure in your service manual. Check underneath again after a short ride, while the oil is still warm and a weep would show.
